The season 14 of Supernatural is all set to return on October 11. This time, the highly-acclaimed horror TV show, comes packed with some exciting new changes to enthral its fans. Out of the several developments, the major one includes archangel Michael taking over Dean Winchester's (Jensen Ackles) body.

Ever since the makers dropped the teaser, fans cannot seem to keep calm about how Dean convincingly plays as Michael. In the sneak peek, the hunter can be seen terrifying a praying man. This clearly indicates that the old Dean has been pushed against the wall and will have a tough time getting back to business.

However, co-showrunner Andrew Dabb told TVLine that "Dean is a fighter." He added that one could expect scenes where Dean would eventually fight back. "We have a couple of different approaches to it. Some are very much like he looks into a mirror, and some are going into people's heads. It's dependent on the story," he noted.

In other news, the upcoming Supernatural season has been cut short by a few episodes as the actors have expressed interest in spending more time with their family. Addressing the crowd at the San Diego Comic Con 2018, Ackles said that a few episodes shorter would mean a month more with loved ones, which is hard to come by, given their line of work.

Another interesting highlight of the event was the show's 300th episode. Jared Padalecki (Sam Winchester) joked about wearing togas and said that the title of the episode would be named "300" after the Gerard Butler movie.

Dabb hinted that they are interested in showing the viewers what a bystander/ onlooker would think when they see the Winchester brothers.

"We've never actually seen Lebanon, Kansas, on the show. We've never actually seen what these people in this town think of these two guys who drive this muscle car through. The dry cleaner [must think], 'They have a lot of blood on their clothes. What's going on there?" Dabb questioned and claimed that it would be interesting to learn more about what people thought of them.

Supernatural Season 14 premieres on Thursday, October 11 on The CW.
