Meghan Markle And Queen Elizabeth Visit Cheshire Together On First Joint Trip

Meghan Markle is all set to celebrate her first birthday as a member of the royal family on August 4. On her special day, Meghan and husband Harry are likely to attend Charlie van Straubenzee's (Harry's childhood friend) wedding in Surrey, England. William and Kate are also expected to attend the ceremony.

Though the royal protocol only allows for small family celebrations at home for any royal birthday, last year Harry sneaked Meghan to an African safari for the big day. Harry is likely to be busy the entire day with his official duties but is expected to spare some time to surprise the Duchess with beautiful gifts.

While we are sure that Harry and Meghan would spend the special day in the most memorable way, there is a special connect between Queen Elizabeth and Meghan's birthday. August 4 also happens to be the birthday of her beloved Queen Mother.

Born on August 4, 1900, as Elizabeth Angela Marguerite Bowes-Lyon was the wife of King George VI. She shared a close bonding with her two daughters, Elizabeth II and Princess Margaret. She passed away at the age of 101. It is 'royally' expected that the Queen will find a special way to celebrate Meghan's birthday as well.

However, at the moment, Meghan's biggest worry would be her father Thomas Markle's ranting spree. The former lighting director has accused the royal family of creating distance between them. A deeply distressed Markle Sr is worried that he might never see his grandchildren due to this ongoing rift.

Markle Sr has been in the midst of controversy ever since Meghan and Harry started dating. He was accused of staging fake paparazzi, revealing the political opinion of Prince Harry and of course, criticising the Queen for meeting Trump. Well, the list doesn't end there.

In a recent interview, the 74-year-old created another trouble for himself and Meghan, after dragging in Princess Diana's name. He opined that Harry's mother Diana would have hated the way royal family has treated him and also added that Meghan will be following the late Princess' footsteps in modernising the royal family.
