Rising Pune Supergiants (RPS) have a tough task ahead as they will host the two-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the MCA Stadium in Pune on Sunday. Dhoni's side are yet to find their footing in the IPL 2016 and will be desperate to break their losing streak. 

Gautam Gambhir will want to lead his side to the fourth victory of the current season of the IPL. The Kolkata outfit have started the IPL 2016 on a brilliant note with three wins from four matches. 

It has happened because of their bowling attack and the opening partnership between the skipper and Robin Uthappa. These two have orchestrated all the three wins so far in the IPL 2016 with the kind of starts they have got. 

Gambhir is one of the highest run-scorers in the IPL 2016 as well. Both Uthappa and his skipper have scored 360 runs between them in just four matches. 

The Supergiants will have to break this opening pair as early as they can in this match no. 20 of the IPL 2016. If they cannot break the partnership between Gambhir and Uthappa, then they might be staring at their fourth defeat in a row.

Dhoni has been let down by his bowlers as well as his middle-order batsmen. In spite of getting off to good starts with the help of Ajinkya Rahane and Faf du Plessis, things have slowed down for the new franchise in the middle overs. That cannot keep on happening if they want to bounce back in their maiden season of the IPL.

Also, Dhoni will have to do without Kevin Pieterson who has been ruled out of the tournament with a calf injury. He will have to rework the team combination and make sure he fields the best possible XI as they cannot afford to lose many games from now on.
