Sachin Tendulkar, the former Indian international cricketer who is regarded as one of the greatest batsmen of all time, has signed a new brand endorsement deal. Sachin aka Little Master and Master Blaster will be the face of leading tyre maker Apollo Tyres for a period of five years.
Sachin Tendulkar is one of the few sporting icons who has emerged stronger even post hanging his bat. Even after his retirement from all form of cricket in 2013, Sachin remains one of most valued brand ambassadors in sports fraternity.
In his heydays, he was the brand ambassador of a brand like Boost, Pepsi, Action Shoes, MRF Tyres, Britannia, Sunfeast and others. Wonder what are the brands that the batting legend currently endorses apart from Apollo Tyres?
BMW India
Among the many brand endorsement deals in Sachin's umbrella, the most famous at present should be BMW. The German carmaker appointed Sachin as its brand ambassador for Indian in 2012 and he was the star of 3 Series launch in the same year. Sachin Tendulkar is now a regular face in BMW India events and visited their stall at Auto Expo in the past couple of editions.
Luminous
Sachin signed a deal to endorse Luminous Power which provides power back up solutions for home, commercial, telecom towers and renewable energy systems in 2010 and it is still running. Over the years Tendulkar featured across all the communications of Luminous inverters, batteries, UPS, renewable energy systems and other power products.
Smartron
India's first global OEM and IoT brand Smatron roped in Sachin Tendulkar in 2016. He is also a strategic shareholder of the company. Smartron has launched a slew of IoT devices and works in areas of smart, sensor, robotics, artificial intelligence, cloud and data technologies.
IDBI Federal Life Insurance
Private life insurer IDBI Federal Life Insurance announced Sachin Tendulkar as its brand ambassador in September 2018. The Master Blaster was earlier the face of IDBI Federal Marathon. IDBI Federal Life Insurance offers wealth management, protection and retirement solutions to individual and corporates.
Sony Ten
After Sony Pictures Networks acquired and Ten Sports, the new range of channels christened Sony Ten secured the services of Sachin as brand ambassador in 2017. Being the brand ambassador, the former India skipper has been a part of a series of television commercials.
Oxigen
Payments solutions provider Oxigen Services in September 2015 signed the legendary cricketer as its brand ambassador. Oxigen specialises in micropayments of services and remittances in real time. The financial details of the endorsement deal have not been revealed.
